Youth Work Activities Volunteers required to support the delivery of youth club sessions across Wokingham.

Youth Volunteering opportunities available for 14-17 year-olds.

Adult volunteering opportunities from 18+.

Subject to safer recruitment processes and DBS checks.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, positive and regular volunteers to join our youth work team and help create exciting opportunities for children and young people aged 8–16.

No two sessions are the same! As a volunteer, you’ll support a wide range of engaging activities designed to build confidence, develop life skills, encourage creativity and most importantly, make sure young people have fun in a safe and welcoming environment.

Activities may include:

  • Sports, games and team challenges
  • Arts, crafts and creative projects
  • Cooking and healthy lifestyle activities
  • Music, gaming and digital activities
  • Youth-led discussions and social action initiatives

You will work alongside experienced youth workers to encourage participation, build positive relationships and support young people to have their voices heard. Whether you’re leading an activity, chatting over a game of pool, helping with a craft session or supporting a group challenge, you’ll play an important role in helping young people feel valued, included and confident.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in youth work, develop transferable skills such as communication, leadership and teamwork, and make a genuine difference in your local community. Full induction, training and ongoing support will be provided.  No previous youth work experience is required—just enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a passion for supporting young people.

Locations of these groups are;

Winnersh – Rainbow Park
Earley – Centre Point
Woodley – Woodford Park Leisure Centre

If you’re looking for a rewarding volunteering role where every session brings new experiences, we would love to hear from you!
