Sight loss can take away independence and confidence, and leave those affected isolated. Berkshire Vision supports hundreds of visually impaired children and adults, helping them to live their lives to the full.
We offer a busy sport and activities programme for our visually impaired members and we need volunteers to help. As a sport and activities volunteer you can either focus on the sport or activity that interests you, or maybe you feel able to volunteer across several activities. Our volunteers assist with: tandem cycling, football, golf, running, dragon boating, swimming, tennis, theatre trips, quiz nights and more. We are looking for volunteers to support and guide our members at these activities and to join in the fun. The time commitment varies and is very flexible as we have sports and activities happening all the time. Our application procedure for this role consists of an application form, 2 references and a DBS check.
