3rd Wokingham Scout Group Needs a New Trustee Chair! We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, organised, and community‑minded to join our leadership team and help guide the future of Scouting here in Wokingham.
You’d be joining a friendly, experienced, and supportive team who care deeply about giving young people the best possible start.
What the Group Chair of Trustee Board role involves:
  • Leading and chairing around 4–6 Trustee Board meetings per year, usually midweek evening.
  • Supporting the Group Lead Volunteer and our brilliant volunteer team
  • Helping plan for the future and keeping the group running smoothly
  • Ensuring we meet governance, safety, and safeguarding responsibilities
  • Getting involved in fundraising and community events
  • Bringing people together and helping keep things moving in the right direction
You don’t need any previous Scouting experience — just enthusiasm, good communication skills, and a desire to make a positive difference for young people in Wokingham. It is a non uniformed role.
If you’re curious, interested, or even just thinking “maybe…”, drop us a message. We’d love to chat about how you could help shape the future of 3rd Wokingham.
